Allen Lane Foundation
Purpose
The Allen Lane Foundation makes grants to projects which benefits under-represented people in UK by making a lasting difference to people’s lives, reducing isolation, stigma and discrimination and encouraging under-represented groups to share in the life of the whole community.
What they will fund
Work which benefits people in the following groups, or generalist work which includes significant numbers from more than one such group, are given priority:
- Asylum seekers and refugees
- Gay, lesbian or bisexual people
- Offenders and ex-offenders
- Older people
- People from black and ethnic minority communities
- People experiencing mental health problems
- People experiencing violence or abuse
Available Funding
Grants of between £500 and £15,000 are available for UK based small voluntary not-for-profit organisations and registered charities. Other organisations which are not charities, but which seek funding for a charitable project are also eligible to apply.
