Children, Young People and Families Grant (England)
The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has announced that it will not be running a funding round through the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) grant programme in 2009. Instead the DCSF is seeking the views of interested organisations on the future approach and shape of the Children, Young People and Families (CYPF) grant programme.
The CYPF provides funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) to third sector organisations for strategic and innovation activities, which can demonstrate that they support the Every Child Matters agenda and the Department’s Children’s Plan. This consultation covers the scope and purpose of the CYPF grant; criteria for strategic and innovation grants; the application process; and how the DCSF communicates, shares best practice and monitors progress.
The DCSF expects to publish a strategy document in July 2009 setting out the wider framework within which the CYPF grant will operate. The closing date for responses is the 5th October 2009.
