In Work Support

Mind’s In Work Support Service is aimed at anyone employed or self-employed that is experiencing emotional issues or mental health problems affecting their work.

The service can help with:

  • Pinpointing the issues;
  • Discussing options and the different strategies to implement them;
  • Confidence building and coping strategies;
  • Communication techniques;
  • Working with the client to make adjustments to working hours or tasks;
  • Planning and organising a safe and gradual return to work;
  • Implementing reasonable adjustments or actions;
  • Mediation between employer and employee;
  • Signposting to additional services if required e.g. counseling.

Community Transport Waltham Forest

CTWF provides a sustainable group transport facility for local community groups. The key function of CTWF is to provide passenger carrying vehicles to members who are in the main voluntary and community organisations in Waltham Forest. CTWF also provides minibus related training to local groups and organisations, advice on vehicle brokerage and purchase, contract work and partnership work, e.g. the “Door to Store” programme with Shopmobility.

Waltham Forest Community Driving School
This Driver Training School aims to improve the driving and passenger experience of people using minibuses in the course of their work and social activities. Courses cover a range of skills to create good quality driving practice, improve passenger journeys with added courses on emergency procedures and safe handling.

Know Your Rights – New Advice Centre

Choice International has opened a new service centre at the Stratford Advice Arcade to provide practical advice and guidance on employment rights and discrimination issues to the general public.

The service will offer free impartial, confidential advice on; employment contracts, handling disciplinary inquiries, grievances, suspensions, investigatory meetings and discrimination issues when accessing services.

The free drop in service is provided every:

INUF Sports Project

INUF are running a new beginners multisports project.

Every Thursday 12.00pm – 2.00pm for 12 weeks

Facilitated by a fully qualified instructor, this is a great opportunity to way to get fit or lose weight along with your peers.

Transformation Launch Song and Video for Female Victims of Sexual Abuse

Transformation, a therapeutic community for the support and empowerment of female victims of sexual abuse, has launched a song and video called “A child is crying, do you care?” designed to help to “break the chain of lies, secrecy, deception and fear”, with all proceeds going to support the building of the Transformation centre.

The video is available on You Tube and to download from usual suppliers and as a CD via www.transformation.gs.
